There are vast differences in which type of extinguisher or suppression system is designed to extinguish which type of fire, the wrong extinguisher or suppression system in the wrong location could spell disaster.
All fire extinguishers are required by law to be visually inspected on a monthly basis and to be inspected and certified by a licensed company annually. Failing to comply with local authority or state fire codes can cause costly fines, cancellation of insurance and edangerment of your property and staff.
